The plan is selected at enrolment. The benefit covers agreed repatriation services and is not convertible to cash.

How a Claim Works

Family notifies the designated Ts'ireletso / IRS 24-hour emergency contact
The case is registered and the member's cover is verified
US-side collection & funeral home arrangements commence
Required documentation and permits are initiated
Airline and international transportation are coordinated
The receiving funeral service provider in Lesotho is notified
The family receives updates through to delivery confirmation

Optional Add-On: Cash Benefit

A fixed cash payment to the beneficiary, in addition to the core repatriation service. It does not reduce the repatriation benefit.

A group of 50 or more principal members may qualify for a waiver of the standard 6-month natural-death waiting period for principal members, spouses, children and adult dependants (18-84). Accidental death is covered immediately, and the 24-month suicide exclusion is never waived.
